ESR Series Static Voltage Stabilisers are micro-processor based electronic digital regulators and represent the latest in voltage stabiliser design evolution.

Based on the extremely well proven Buck-Boost design topology which underlines our Servo Electronic Stabilisers, ESR Static Voltage Regulators utilize SCRs (Silicon Controlled Rectifiers), as opposed to Variable Transformers, to control the voltage on the primary winding to deliver a highly stable output voltage.

Compatible with all load types and offering independent phase control, they deliver ultra-fast response times in correcting under/over voltages, sags, and surges – making them ideal for highly sensitive/mission-critical loads and applications.

Solid-state in basic design, with the only moving parts being fans used to force cool the stabilise, ESR Static Voltage Stabilizers deliver highly reliable and virtually maintenance-free voltage stabilisation and protection against the vagaries of the utility main supply.

With a high inbuilt fault clearing capability, the inclusion as standard of an automatic electronic bypass facility ensures that in the event of a problem, the power to the load equipment is always maintained.

A Static Digital Voltage Stabilizer, without any moving parts (other than cooling fans), monitors the incoming supply. Should the incoming voltage rise or drop, the Stabilizer will automatically control the output to ensure the voltage reaching the load equipment always remains constant at the requisite voltage.

Static Digital Voltage Stabilizers typically utilize the same well-proven Buck-Boost design topology as traditional Servo Electronic-based Voltage Stabilizers. By using SCRs (Silicon Controlled Rectifiers) to choose the appropriate voltage from the voltage supply transformer and applying it to the primary winding of the Buck/Boost transformer, the output voltage of the Stabilizer is regulated.

Solid-state in basic design, with the only moving parts being fans used to force cool the stabilize, Static Digital Voltage Stabilizers deliver highly reliable and virtually maintenance-free voltage stabilization and protection against the vagaries of the utility mains supply.

With a Static Digital Voltage Stabiliser, the Stabilizer voltage’s output accuracy usually depends on the Stabilizer’s required permissible input voltage swing and the number of different voltage taps available on the voltage supply transformer. Typically, the output voltage is regulated to an accuracy of 1% and 3 to 5% for larger swing models.  Such levels are usually more than acceptable for today’s modern loads.
